I’ve been kind of stuck in this loop lately where I only notice my mental state when it gets really bad. Most of the time I just go through the day without checking in with myself at all. I tried a few simple things like writing down thoughts or using basic mood notes, but I always stop after a few days because it starts feeling repetitive. Recently I came across https://theliven.com/ while reading about self-discovery tools, and it seemed like it’s more than just journaling — more like something that helps you actually understand patterns in your emotions over time. Now I’m wondering if anyone here has used it long enough to see if it really helps with awareness, or if it ends up being just another app you forget about.

I just found this thread while browsing and it’s interesting to see how many people are dealing with similar things. I don’t really use apps for self-reflection, but I’ve noticed that my awareness usually depends on how busy my day is. When things are fast-paced, I barely notice how I feel, but when there’s even a bit of slowdown, I start picking up on it more. Lately I’ve been trying to take short pauses during the day, just stepping back for a moment without doing anything in particular. It’s simple, but it seems to help a bit over time.
